Today we cover voice substitutions, a super useful feature of SayIt.
Voice substitutions are a way to say one thing and have SayIt change it to another. This can be used in a multitude of ways to make your experience with using speech recognition more enjoyable. A few ways you can use substitutions:
- Change formatting of words or phrases (add hyphens or other formatting examples)
- Expand spoken acronyms for the full phrase
- Change the common spelling to one you use/prefer
- Use them for misrecognitions, to substitute for the correct word
Substitutions are for quick and small changes, voice shortcuts are typically used to insert long text macros or templates.
